All Of Sarasota’s Private Air Travel Facilities Are Seeing An Increase In Takeoffs And Landings.

Private air facilities, called Fixed Base Operations (FBO) in Sarasota (SRQ Airport), Rectrix & Dolphin Aviation and Venice’s Airport’s Suncoast Air Center are seeing an increase in takeoffs and landings over the past few years.

Air traffic data from SRQ clearly indicates that private charter flights have increased 19 percent over the past two years. Prop planes are still the majority but large private jets are becoming more and more common.

Seen at SRQ are jets like:
Bombardier Challenger 350, $26 million, seating 10 people
Bombardier Global 5000, $50 million, seating 16 people
Gulfstream 650ER, $71.5 million, seating 13 passengers (sleeps 10)
